Alter Eco Pulp Srl – Benefit Corporation is an innovative start-up registered with the CCIAA del Gran Sasso D’Italia Chamber of Commerce and was created in 2022 to introduce and develop “fiber molding” technology in Italy.
This technology makes it possible to use natural cellulose fibers, sometimes even processing waste (as in the case of sugarcane processing residues or wheat straw), to create single-use products that replace plastic as well as other virgin raw materials such as wood and paper.

MOLDED FIBER PACKAGING

Cellulose pulp is obtained from waste generated during the processing of fast-growing resources. It typically comes from sugarcane, bamboo, or wheat straw. It is made from natural materials and is biodegradable and compostable according to EN 13432.

Our molded fiber solutions are ideal for a wide range of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consumer products, food packaging and electronics, offering protective, sustainable, and customizable packaging options.

This drastically reduces environmental impact for two key reasons:

  • First, because no trees are cut down, no fossil resources are consumed, and no raw materials that could be used for human food—such as corn—are used.
  • Second, because once used, the products can be disposed of in the paper stream (and therefore sent for recycling) or in the organic waste stream (and therefore sent for composting).

All of this aligns perfectly and harmoniously with the principles of the Product Life Cycle and the Circular Economy!
